I think my copy of this story must have been a victim of the tragic death of my pda, that's the only explanation I can think of for how I managed to miss this story the first time around.

I'm so glad you posted the sequel though, because this story is fantastic, with a terrific Rodney voice and I can't wait to read the next one.
