chopchica and shetiger have theorized that Rodney accidentally left his fleece on Earth when the expedition left, so of course when he goes back he has to get it and that does all sorts of things to John ;)

Which of course means on cold Lantean days when there isn't anything to do, John will shovel his paperwork onto Lorne, drag Rodney away from the labs, and curl up with him, and their balcony windows will be open to let in the cold air, but John will have Rodney half-wrapped around him, and Rodney and the fleece will keep him warm.
