well, so many have already said so many of my thoughts. Ones I don't remember seeing ... i love John thinking about what gets passed on among the Satedans and Athosians contrasted to his family. I love and chose to extrapolate that it's John experience with the family of his own choosing, who fully accept him as he is, that allows him to come back to his family of origin and begin to heal. He's no longer looking through the lens of a 13 year old boy who suffered loss and seeming betrayal. He understands loss better now (doesn't accept it any better and still feels unbelievable guilty when it occurs. and i so wanted to know MORE about how his mother dies here and is that where the guilt and sense of responsibility start?).
