yayyyy

Conference is done! It went very well, made useful contacts, possibly found an outside reader for my dissertation, and had really really good food. The best part, though? I'm home now and I have the next three weeks off. There's still work to be done on the assistantship front, but proposal stuff will wait until after break. Until after I go visit my parents for break \o/

The other really really good part about seeing the parents for break is that it means I'll be able to watch the SGA S4 finale on Friday night, instead of doing what I usually do and staying up until ridiculous hours to download it.

In celebration, I give you a very small picspam for [livejournal.com profile] sheafrotherdon's festival of JFlan's adorkable face, and you can find it here. Sexy chair tiem faces!!! Smiles! Expressions of extreme dorkiness!

John smiles winsomely at you and hopes you will go see him :>

Also in celebration, I may write something tomorrow, once I get done assimilating the giddying thought that I do not have to think about things for three weeks.

ADORKABLE I TELL THEE.

And I am really really excited at the prospect of opening up Word and writing something that does not involve school in any way :D

[identity profile] aesc.livejournal.com 2008-02-18 04:27 am (UTC)(link)
That is such a delicious, delicious shot. I get all meep-clench-eeeee at it :">

[identity profile] aesc.livejournal.com 2008-02-18 04:27 am (UTC)(link)
I am very happy about everything right now! \o/

[identity profile] amberlynne.livejournal.com 2008-02-18 04:32 am (UTC)(link)
It's such an amazing talent he has, to be unimaginably hot but also extremely dorky at the same time.

And I am really really really excited for you. ;)

That thread made me start keysmashing and posting links at my non-SGA-watching friends in an AIM chat. Sadly they do not fully appreciate the love that is John/Joe's face.

I fail at social networking so, *applauds you*

I am trying to remember if I knew you were going to a conference! Was it Yale or Purdue or something else?

[identity profile] kimberweeme.livejournal.com 2008-02-18 06:24 am (UTC)(link)
Congrats on successfully conferenc-ing!

Oh John! His adorable face! I just want to kiss his stubbled chin (and other things). Is that so wrong?

[identity profile] gaffsie.livejournal.com 2008-02-18 08:24 am (UTC)(link)
If that's wrong, I don't want to be right!

[identity profile] gaffsie.livejournal.com 2008-02-18 08:25 am (UTC)(link)
How can I resist that face? *clicks link*

Enjoy your three weeks of freedom! \o/

Yay for networking and breaks and writing and Joe! How can anyone be that pretty? I think he defies several laws of nature.

[identity profile] kimberweeme.livejournal.com 2008-02-18 06:31 pm (UTC)(link)
Agreed.

*kisses his chin*

[identity profile] kimberweeme.livejournal.com 2008-02-18 06:38 pm (UTC)(link)
So much love for your icon! Is that the face of a man who would lie?

I think not.

[identity profile] aesc.livejournal.com 2008-02-18 08:06 pm (UTC)(link)
No no, I think most people will say you're in the right on that :D

*kisses his stubbled chin*

I usually do to--it's my least favorite part about conferences, and I've always been way too shy to present myself to strange people and try to talk to them. Maybe I was just so sleepy my normal inhibitions weren't in place?

[identity profile] aesc.livejournal.com 2008-02-18 08:08 pm (UTC)(link)
ZOMG KRANG!!!!!

Krang would disapprove of your friends' lack of proper appreciation for Joe's lovely, silly face.

[identity profile] aesc.livejournal.com 2008-02-18 08:09 pm (UTC)(link)
asd;lkjf Purdue would have been depressing, but much easier to get to at least (the worst part of the conference was just getting there, no thanks to completely useless United and completely useless regional airports).

[identity profile] aesc.livejournal.com 2008-02-18 08:10 pm (UTC)(link)
His lovely, dorky face... oh, it does things to me :">

[identity profile] aesc.livejournal.com 2008-02-18 08:10 pm (UTC)(link)
Yis yis he does!!! It really shouldn't be possible to be that pretty and that dorky at the same time. It isn't fair to people who are susceptible to prettiness and dorkiness.

[identity profile] gaffsie.livejournal.com 2008-02-18 08:31 pm (UTC)(link)
Oh, same here. Lovely, lovely things. :D
