I have been known to sleep through Texas thunderstorms, which are loud, violent and terrifying things.

Now, those I could never ever sleep through. I grew up with Florida thunderstorms, which always terrified me, even after ten years of having one almost every day during the summer. Now it's Midwestern storms, and those are just as bad, with the added bonus of tornadoes :/
