I love thunderstorms - when I'm at home and can stay there. What I don't like are hurricanes (which are a real threat) and tornadoes. I used to live in Illinois and, ever since the that time when I was a babysitting and the tornado sirens went off and I had to grab a baby and we all had to huddle in the basement I've been petrified of the things.
