uhhhhh...

HALLO.

This is one of those posts you post when you really have nothing at all to say for yourself but are a bit too wired on Espresso Truffle and finishing most of an application and are too squirrelly to settle down and read or write what should be read or written and it's total utter spam and there's no redeeming value to it, but dammit, you need an excuse to compulsively check gmail and hear the happy little 'chime' thing so please please please reply to this post with randomness so I can have an excuse not to read St. Augustine.

THANK YOU.

.eta: [livejournal.com profile] unamaga with vorpal-bunny-slippered John and [livejournal.com profile] amberlynne with the overcaffienated Rodney!

OMG ESPRESSO TRUFFLE plz describe.

THIIIIIIIIIIIS (http://www.starbucks.com/retail/nutrition_beverage_detail.asp?selProducts={3143B045-04F9-4CD5-A506-B6C0BE86F6F9}).

One of these (grande) keeps me vibrating the rest of the day. If I drink it before I teach, my gestures become McKay-like in their expansiveness and enthusiasm!

I love the very start of a caffine high - you fell like anything's possible.

[identity profile] aesc.livejournal.com 2008-11-24 11:41 pm (UTC)(link)
I guess it's like what runners feel when the adrenaline kicks in... To which I say, why bother running when it takes far less time and effort to make coffee? :D

[identity profile] hilarytamar.livejournal.com 2008-11-24 11:43 pm (UTC)(link)
Happy Sheppard randomness for you! *points at icon*

(Also, I'm at work and being run off my feet and my god I need an excuse to compulsively check my email because smart people say smart things in my emails from LJ, and it's all just dumb people saying dumb things here at work.)

[identity profile] aesc.livejournal.com 2008-11-24 11:44 pm (UTC)(link)
NNNNNNNNNNF JOE. Um, I could possibly lick his neck for the rest of the day.

Granted, this is not an especially intelligent thing to say *racks brain for something smart-and-intellectual-sounding* I got nothing :(

I find sometimes I have a longing for that little chime too. Espresso Truffle sounds delectable. And there should always be time to pop in and say hi! So, uhm, Hi and good luck with the not reading. ;)

[identity profile] omglawdork.livejournal.com 2008-11-24 11:46 pm (UTC)(link)
Oh my God, ESPRESSO TRUFFLLLLLLLE

SO GOOD

It's like crack in a cup. I am only allowed to have like one a week, or I will drink them for breakfast, lunch, and dinner. NOM NOM NOM

[identity profile] orangeaide.livejournal.com 2008-11-24 11:46 pm (UTC)(link)
OMG wow. The ladies at my Starbucks keep trying to get me to try one but I'm afraid of spazzing out in my English class.

Maybe I'll drink one and then try out the gesture painting technique (aka Jackson Pollock) that my art prof keeps yelling at me about!

Once again, I'm beyond bummed that we don't have Starbucks here. The Espresso Truffle thingie sounds delicious.

Hi, aesc, hi!!

[identity profile] aesc.livejournal.com 2008-11-24 11:50 pm (UTC)(link)
I am not really a Starbucks junkie (I can make my own espresso just fine, om nom), but this is my overpriced kryptonite! *flaps*

[identity profile] aesc.livejournal.com 2008-11-24 11:51 pm (UTC)(link)
It's like crack in a cup.

Yes! Yes, that's EXACTLY IT. Ever since [livejournal.com profile] dogeared told me about it, I have been drinking away money I should be saving and ridiculously overcaffeinating myself, BUT I CAN'T STOP.

[identity profile] aesc.livejournal.com 2008-11-24 11:51 pm (UTC)(link)
It is good good gooooood stuff!

And the not-reading is going very well so far! :D

Glad the icon pleases! (And anything you say is ipso facto intelligent, m'dear.)

Edited to change icon from Rodney!neck to your yummy slinky!John.

Helloooooooo, copy-paste.

[identity profile] villainny.livejournal.com 2008-11-25 12:06 am (UTC)(link)
not copy-paste. Random paste of oooh, my computer has been hibernating and I have no idea what's in the buffer.

IT COULD HAVE BEEN SO MUCH WORSE...

[identity profile] villainny.livejournal.com 2008-11-25 12:07 am (UTC)(link)
CHIME!

[identity profile] hilarytamar.livejournal.com 2008-11-25 12:09 am (UTC)(link)
And, uh, because I too am overcaffeinated, and because you did say randomness was ok, have an icon of Rodney's neck anyway. (Yes, I have more than one. Don't look at me like that.)

[identity profile] aesc.livejournal.com 2008-11-25 12:16 am (UTC)(link)
*FLIIIIEZ AWAY!*

[identity profile] aesc.livejournal.com 2008-11-25 12:16 am (UTC)(link)
Ha, now if only I could get my advisor to believe that :D

[identity profile] unamaga.livejournal.com 2008-11-25 12:24 am (UTC)(link)
John Sheppard catches a Pegasus cold the third week of Earth December and wanders dazedly around Atlantis for days, clutching a box of tissues, holding an Athosian quilt around his shoulders, and wearing these.

Rodney doesn't have the heart to send John back to his quarters when he shows up one afternoon looking miserable, even though the germs are doubtless staging an attack on Rodney's immune system as he tucks John against his side.
