Oh my god, when Castiel showed up after that long, horrible pause, I almost died. My roommate would have come home next week to find me rotting on the couch with a stupid grin on my decomposing face. And that moment was, I think, one of the few (maybe the only) balances between skepticism and faith in the entire season, when Dean gives Castiel a choice to help or get the hell out, and Castiel somehow gets through to Dean the fact that even though he can't do anything, he knows (and asks Dean to trust) that things will work out. And Dean does.
That was a pretty awesome moment. That, and Castiel almost giving in. He's so close now, it's kind of breaking me to watch him struggle between his weird Prime Directive to not interfere in certain things and his attraction tofascination withfeelings for developing understanding of Dean and humanity.

Dainty Dean Winchester, that's him! XD
And he answers Dean's prayer, in a sense. Hmmm.
