Mmph. I translated around 500 lines of poetry and started on Halbwach in the past twelve hours, so I'm about academicked out for the day.

I hopped on the internets tonight and found, joy and amazement, so many cool things posted, fic-wise: sheafrotherdon's next Farm in Iowa installment, a very nice first fic by semivowel (such a great Rodney here), and the next part of gillianinoz's Cute As... series, which I have come to enjoy muchly.

And in noodling around between frustrated trips to the dictionary I messed around in PS7 and discovered yet more evidence of why God loves us:

and almost instantly this gorgeous man pops up and I was like, Dude, let's just watch a bit harder here.

I think in many cases SGA is an inevitability. I held out for, I am proud to say it, quite a long time, even though several on my flist were going on and on about it. But then I got the pilot on DVD (because I had money and figured what the hell, it would kill two hours of procrastinating time) and it was over for me. Over, I say.

Oh, Joe Flanigan, you bad person.

I got a question for you, H. You can direct me elsewhere (or, you know, ignore this) if you don't feel like answering, because why yes, I am randomly accosting you! I'm still back in season one watching, so when I read current fic I get a bit confused. Can you just like tell me where the show stands now in 3 sentences? I mean is it pretty much status quo - wraith still out there, everyone still at Atlantis, expedition still going (I know that the ship came through in like the end of S1 so they have contact with SGC)? Is John in charge of the military stuff, or is that the guy from the ship? And as for the show itself, we're wrapping up season 3? Will there be a season 4?

Three sentences? I shall do my best and try not to give any specific spoilers for the end of S3.

Not only are the Wraith still out there, the new Very Bad People on the block are the Replicators, and the Genii continue to be troublesome as well. The team has won some and lost some, both battles and people, but despite everything the expedition is still going (relatively) strong, thanks to closer contact with Earth--though the S3 finale has them in VERY GREAT MORTAL PERIL!!!! that will be resolved at the beginning of S4.

It was very hard to watch because I needed to be quiet and not be constantly bouncing out of my chair shrieking like a madwoman. And at the end I couldn't whimper quietly to myself as I tend to do when boys are in peril and distress--I had to save that for later.

Dude, I just read something about Elizabeth. She's gone? To be recurring character only? I mean, I don't even particularly care for her, but still! I hate it when they fuck with characters. And this show seems to have done a lot of that.
