It occurred to me today (meaning, I happened across it on my flist) that anotheratlantis requires its fics to be done by the 15th of this month, instead of the 24th, as I had written down in my FICS WITH DEADLINES column of the STUFF THAT MUST BE FINISHED!!!!!! page in the Fic Moleskine.

The 24th was, apparently, a transposition error from the deadline for the atlantisbasics ficathon, which was the 24th of last month. (Which, in turn, I thought was due on the 15th of September.)

The lesson: NEVER try to be organized. It doesn't work, especially if you're aesc.

I was freaking out Friday because I had a ficathon story due Saturday and I didn't even remember the prompt, and have only seen the source text once. Thank the gods the deadline is 30 September, not 1 September.

Lesson: even trying to be organized is a step ahead of me.
