It occurred to me today (meaning, I happened across it on my flist) that anotheratlantis requires its fics to be done by the 15th of this month, instead of the 24th, as I had written down in my FICS WITH DEADLINES column of the STUFF THAT MUST BE FINISHED!!!!!! page in the Fic Moleskine.

The 24th was, apparently, a transposition error from the deadline for the atlantisbasics ficathon, which was the 24th of last month. (Which, in turn, I thought was due on the 15th of September.)

The lesson: NEVER try to be organized. It doesn't work, especially if you're aesc.

*meeps unhappily, puts on speed*

The sad part is that I even noted to myself in my blog that HEY, SELF, YOU HAVE THESE TWO DEADLINES. MAKE A NOTE OF THAT.

This is why I've decided never to try to be organized again. It takes time away from things that are enjoyable, like John/Rodney porn, and serves no purpose whatsoever.

I forget that I probably SHOULDN'T sign up for these things, but I end up doing so anyway. So I am obligated to draw actual art instead of doodling dumb J/R things in the margins of my notebook!

I was looking today because I was like "Oh, I should check off some of the things I've done" and was very happy that I still had three weeks or whatever until anotheratlantis, but then I was reading my flist and they said "less than two weeks until the deadline" and I thought, oh they've just miscounted.

But I know I'm terrible with numbers, so I went to the comm. to check.
