So glad I'm not the only one who has that reaction!
Ohhhhhhh, I am fairly sure neither you nor I were alone :D
I still have that reaction, but at least I can control the volume now.
Because of the roommate, I've learned to bottle it up, though sometimes there are hugely stupid, helpless grins and small noises that break through.
