* = All But Dissertation.
^ = not ADB (which is what I typed the first time), which is A Dog's Breakfast. Still cool, but different.

Hee! The actual process was not too horrible once it got started (although people were late and then they had to talk about how we were going to do things *flaps*), but the entire morning I was steadily freaking myself out until I was all, "okay, you are going to sit down and read fic and stop freaking yourself out," and then I saw PENGUINS and was all \o/

But yeah, I remember my own oral exam (though it wasn't for something as nifty as getting a degree) and how psyched I was before I finally got called in. And then it was almost disappointingly easy. ;)
