pictures and things: 'Traders,' noir!John, watch aesc pretend to be productive

The past two days have been characterized by very great exhaustion. While it's a change from feeling like my sinuses are trying to invade my eye sockets, I'm not terribly crazy about it. My brain laughs at the thought of managing plot (I can hear it cackling) or anything much more complicated than playing with Traders screencaps of unbearable quality yet unbelievable adorableness.

There is no sad Grant here, just him being goofy and weird and with the hands. (*flail* I can't help it, I love him and may possibly be addicted.) And there's also some noir!John, who is having his backstory turned over between decongestants.

Cone of silence!

He is such a dork, and I love him SO MUCH.

And hey, some icons! These will go up for real with the slowly-assembling collection in a couple weeks, I hope. But, in the meantime, feel free to take.

I've been doodling away at the noir stuff between other things and sinus infections. In the spirit of The Long Goodbye, John Sheppard is a disgraced Air Force veteran, pulled alive from the wreck of his P-51 Mustang in the North Sea. No one knows how he survived, but a few people have guessed....

Seen around: you comment with the start of a sentence, I reply with the rest of it. These can be fannish (e.g. John Sheppard and Dean Winchester like to) or personal (e.g. If I could smite one person in the world, it would be), or whatever, really.

If I may inquire, where did you get your eps of "Traders"? From what I've seen, Grant is the epitome of deliciousness, and YUM! I must needs acquire them! (Your caps? AWESOME.)

Hm...

Rodney looked up from his desk to see John attempting a casual lean against the doorway -- attempting and failing: "McKay, there's something I've got to tell you..."

Check out [livejournal.com profile] cdntvonthedl :D (Grant is a fairly minor character, but he's so worth it. He first shows up in 1x03, as I discovered *g* Also, the screencaps above are hugely, hugely cleaned up but Grant is still very tasty *g*)

"McKay, there's something I've got to tell you..."

and in the first .05 seconds after John's hesitant words, Rodney's brain offers up a thousand different conclusions to that sentence: I'm straight, I'm morally opposed to Canadians, I'm bi but I have feelings for [insert name here, there are too many to count], I'm using you to get to Sam, I think this is a bad idea, I'm dying, I have an STD, I have an STD that gives you a painful and embarrassing rash, Jeannie's dead/injured/pregnant again/infected by replicators, I'm dead/injured/pregnant again/infected by replicators, did I mention I'm straight and I was experimenting?, they're out of the good jello and chocolate and coffee, and there are so many that they block out most of what John says, except for "... together?" and Rodney, shaken deep deep down, makes himself ask John to repeat the question.

Thanks for the link, and the comment. *grin*

my first instinct was to have john finish the sentence with "i'm pregnant." but you've covered that base and more.
