Friday woo hoo!

Yay: New layout! casa_mcshep! SPN 4.13 (boyyyys)! Getting orangey Rodneylike yarn! Surviving yesterday! Aside from a 6-hour power outage yesterday afternoon, life has treated my kindly the past two days.

I think the best part, though, is just finally, finally being able to get things done beyond the bare minimum required to satisfy people. After a year--really longer, but the past year has been notable for its awfulness--of torpor and feeling lousy and chronically exhausted, having some get-up-and-go is such a relief.

To celebrate, a meme! Stolen from telesilla: Comment with a story I've written, and I will tell you one thing I knew, learned, or wondered about while writing the story that didn't make it onto the page.

Hee, Phi was of course 50% siriaeve's fault :D It really does show, I think, how awesome comment-based fic can be... There's a spontaneity to it, even after the stitching-together and editing, that I like a lot. In our heads, the story continues with the two of them having to start their relationship apart, and Rodney having to threaten Zelenka into silence, with the result that no one believes Rodney and John know each other and might be interested in each other beyond an interview Rodney didn't want to do in the first place :D IIRC, there is a scene we mused over, when John is in Japan for a shoot and he texts Rodney on his BlackBerry, and Rodney has to go off by himself because he really can't keep his composure, he's so relieved (pathetically, stupidly, way to be a girl, McKay) John's calling him.

As for Restoration Hardware, well, I don't know how much I can talk about it because I'm writing the next bit :D That particular bit will contain the reason for Jeannie's repeated callings, and the next couple of steps in the weirdness that is John and Rodney's relationship :D
