I don't think I'll ever get tired of making cover art for brilliant stories.

pandarus just finished up her totally awesome, breathtaking fic, The Consequences of Falling. (Link goes to the last part.) It's Dean/Castiel, and it's everything I love in fic: hot, angsty, gorgeous, with prose that goes down sweet and smooth.







In other news: BONES TONIGHT BONES TONIGHT BONES TONIGHT! Excuse me while I race around stupidly and happily... it's nice to have a show again. A show that is not on hiatus *looks meaningfully at SPN* Also, I have decided, in agreement with sheafrotherdon, that Sweets and Caroline are totally in cahoots. They go out for bright pink drinks with umbrellas in them and plot ways to get Booth and Brennan together. Yes.

In other other news: Uff, I wrote about six pages of dissertation material yesterday. Six pages is a lot for me when it comes to anything that isn't fic, but I was still somewhat surprised when I got home and tried to write bits of the current fic projects and I managed a grand total of... one paragraph. Sigh. RL, it's bad for your fandom :(

Oh wow! Beautiful and evocative. I like how Castiel's right wing is blurred, almost like it's becoming smoke. It makes me antsy, what's going on with Castiel?
I love the colors and the composition, but then you're this MASTER with that stuff, so it goes without saying.

I am not the biggest Castiel fan, but that is one truly beautiful piece of art *loves* Love the textures, I feel like there are several different ones, but flawlessly combined. Makes it more complex somehow. /pretencious art-voice

Thank you so much! There are indeed a whole bunch of textures in there, about 30-40 or so, the last time I messed around with the draft file :) I love that sort of work, putting a whole bunch of things together to make a whole that is hard to break back down into its parts.

Check out the heading before the fic starts... it will give you a hint as to whether or not to be scared. Either way, the ending is heart-clenchingly lovely.

I'm still a few chapters behind on The Consequences of Falling, but it's really fabulous. I adore this piece, especially Castiel's wings--the wispiness and the bit of butterfly-ness. And the impression of the handprint on Castiel's heart. And the colors. And the falling letters. Just beautiful.

OK, I have to wonder how I have missed your art before!! Wow! I love this so much. (And also completely adore pandarus's fic.

I have to ask... would it be possible for me to use this as a banner for my LJ? I've been wanting a Castiel-centric banner, but haven't found the right thing. I could crop it myself if you were comfortable with that, or of course if you wanted to crop it that would be awesome. But if you feel like that would change the piece too much, I totally understand.
