meme-thingy is memed

<--check out Uriel there. How badass is he?

I am so bored today, I'm almost catatonic with it. The boredom is, fortunately, well-paid boredom (I am putting together someone's bibliography and formatting their footnotes and I am being paid YAY), but still, money does not keep my synapses from curling up to take a snooze. Please keep me from falling over.

Stolen from [livejournal.com profile] ashkitty: Give me a character and I will tell you something factual about them according to my own personal canon. This can range from their birthday, favorite color or even their earliest memory up to what they had last night for dinner. If you want, you can ask me a specific question about them, because I am so bored I don't know if I can come up with any facts without prompting.

Two more weeks until Bones and SPN, two more weeks *cries*

She has, in secret, cultivated a taste for Key Lime pie :D Booth would never let her hear the end of it if she told him.

Vin Tanner?

Or Ruby.

It can't all be serious, and even humanity has its bright spots here and there ;) Just, you know, not enough for Uriel.

Ruby watched her village vanish in one visitation of the Black Death, and when the plague struck her family, she'd had enough. The prayers didn't work, the priests were useless, the carrying of the cathedral relics through the streets did nothing except spread the illness to the neighboring town.

The night her younger brother sweated and moaned in his bed was the first night she prayed to something other than God.

I can't find the post, it must have been related to It's the Great Pumpkin Sam Winchester obviously, but I can't find it. Meep.
Anyway, it can be summed like this: Sam's faith is shallow at best. it' snot something he's thought about a lot and really mediated. Obviously he couldn't follow any organized religion because of his knowledge, but it doesn't seem that he's even reflected about it. My reasoning were tied to his doubts when meeting the angels in the episode and how the angels of the Scriptures confused and made him doubt his faith, and the God he's prayed to.

That's very confusing to me because the smiting angels, the warriors of God are a given thing in the Scriptures and Sam's smart and knoledgeable enough to know it.
So, yes, I think that Sam needed the comfort of a powerful presence of good to offset the evil in the world, but when confronted with the actions of this Good entity, his faith crumbles because it's not really deep rooted in his beliefs.
What does this make of Sam, faith-wise?

Huh, wow, it's been a long time since I've thought about Firefly.

I guess... lessee... One day, when they're trying to escape from yet another group of bad guys that want to take what Firefly's already taken, Kaylee has to race around the engine room in her favorite floofy pink dress. You wouldn't think it, but it's easier to get around in than it looks :D
