It actually came yesterday but I was gone all day trying to persuade people to come to my school, and the UPS man (oh, UPS man, you bring me beautiful presents) was sadly not able to babysit it until I got home at 9pm. Probably this is a good thing because otherwise I would have been torn between collapsing into bed and staying up all night to play with it. Of course now, I am torn between doing work and playing with the brand new shiny :|

In other news: I have decided to make the Sunday drabbleventures a semi-regular occurrence around here. Drabbles are so awesome, and I need the discipline they force me to. So, the post from Sunday (here) will now be the home base for drabble requests, when they're open; this backdated (forward-dated?) post will be the index.

Okay, now to force myself to work. *sigh*

Ha ha, alas, my tablet has very, very, very little to do with my actual RL work XD It is a splurge-sort of thing because I got some unexpected money and decided to compromise between being completely irresponsible (and spending it all) and being completely responsible (and saving it all), and some of my art lately would really be much MUCH easier to do with a tablet rather than my mouse.

Also, in case this whole academic thing doesn't work out, I need a backup. Graphics design school, maybe :D

I have a Wacom Bamboo Medium, and I seriously don't know how I ever lived without it. I still suck at the writing thing, though *g*

I went in for an Intuos3 6x8. In addition to being all sleek and technological, it's actually really comfortable to work with :D And I am counting down the hours until I'm done writing for the day and can play with it!

:D :D Thank you! It's kind of odd to see that my writing on unlined surfaces is much neater on the tablet than it is on unlined paper... If I'm writing on blank paper my lines usually end up at 45-degree angles :D

hahahahahah yessssss. schoolwork productivity drops way down when you acquire a tablet. :>
