.music: Tripping Towards Bethlehem (Winchesters, Castiel, Chuck)
It's been eons since I've done a mix! I feel a bit rusty.
"Tripping Towards Bethlehem" is sort of a... eh, blend of theme/concept and narrative. All the songs have to do with getting drunk,getting high, fucking yourself up, escaping. It bounces back and forth between blues, classic stoner rock, some electronic music, and country funk, and finishes with one of my favorite songs, Mike Doughty's "No Peace, Los Angeles." I tried to get it to wander vaguely along the track from late S4 through S5, started out by some references to Chuck's crazy visions and love of alcohol.
