I read Book Six the afternoon after it came out and haven't read it since. Very hard trying to work up anticipation for this one, or the incentive to drive all the way across town at midnight to deal with the crowds.
May you have much better traveling and moving karma than everyone else I've known has had in the past few weeks. It's virus-like... New people down the street just had the copper tubing in their basement stolen, my roommate was 8 hours late getting home after everything that could go wrong did go wrong on her flight back from Europe, houseguests stranded in various airports due to weather... Yes. May the Force be with you.
*raises hand* Me! I ordered mine from Amazon, so it will hopefully be here first thing in the morning!
There are currently fireworks going on outside, and I amuse myself to think that they may be for HP, though that is yet an hour and a half away.
I don't know, I would go to the festivities if there was someone I wanted to go WITH, particularly, but meh. I'll sit in, watch Farscape, read fic, and go to bed early, for then I wake and have a Deathly Hallows in my greedy little hands :)
We have fireworks too! Or did... They just stopped, which is good, because the Cowardly Dog was freaking out.

The roommate doesn't get the whole fan thing, and I don't think there's anyone here I know who'd go, either :/ I went to the Book 5 release, which was fun, but I was with a ton of other people and that made it more fun than waiting in line would otherwise be.
Would you like to talk of John and Rodney? *g*
There is much John and Rodney to be had here now :D
I'm not! I'm getting mine from Amazon at whatever time the poor woobie UPS guys manage to make it to my house :D Awww. I love my UPS guys. Maybe I should bake them cookies.
I am passing my time writing more Iowa. And reading my second of five books about smokejumpers :>

You know, I had a sudden vision of UPS guy!John who has Rodney on his route, and is constantly stopping by his house because Rodney compulsively orders books on astrophysics and whatever just for the sheer pleasure of writing insulting comments in the margins.

Hurrah on both counts, and my anticipation goes for both as well.
I won't. I have an essay to write tomorrow and the day after my family is picking me up and my cousin who I see only once a year will be there. I'll read the book soon after, but starting with book five I've been thinking that I've read fanfiction that I enjoyed more than the book and yeah...
If I could have my book delivered with my newspaper, I'd be in bed already. Or if I knew I could just fall out of bed as soon as the bookstore opens and get my book then... But, no. :P
I live on the desolate side of town that has, like, the five and dime and skeezy corner bar; everything else is on the opposite side of where I am, so it's an act of will to get anything, including Book 7.
Nah. I thought about it a few weeks ago, but when the book leaked, I read all the spoilers, then started reading it myself. I just couldn't help it! The fun of being in line with people is to speculate, and it's no fun if you already know the punchline and can't share it. ;)

This is true. I was good about staying away from spoilers for HP7, even though my flist was teeming with them. I think partly it was fear... I'll see if that fear is justified tomorrow.
Haha, it's funny because I don't feel like reading this one and I don't know why.
But, but, but, driving past a bookstore, I kind of got teary because y'know the kids are glowing with happiness that I kind of have to go aww! and *\o/* for 'em. Also HP was my first fandom and now the last page is out *is sad*.
I kinda do, kinda don't. I wasn't crazy about HP6, and while I'd like to see how it all ends, I don't want it to in some ways. Maybe I'm too used to having holes and no endings in the stuff I read... To have a "complete" text seems wrong somehow.
I think half my flist is vanishing while the other half remains *g* Unfortunately for me, I may be disappearing for reading of another kind. Woo hoo, school.

I might be able to pick up the book tomorrow or Sunday, depending how militant Roomie is about fixing stuff. Blah, housework.
