Happiness? Plz?

On the Trinity is depriving me of the will to live. As depressing is my imminent return to Heidegger, whom I abandoned because I couldn't take him anymore but need to start reading again. I'm not a philosopher or theologian, but I have to pretend I'm one for a while, and I don't think it's going well.

So. Tell me something that makes you happy. Tell me a story. Show me a picture. Anything to keep me from harming myself or the library book, or fleeing to the Northwest Territory.

Something that makes me happy: my dog grinning at me and thumping his tail when he happens to look up as I look down. My Moleskine commonplace book, which is stuffed full of quotations and randomness.

Also, all being well, [livejournal.com profile] sgabigbang goes live tomorrow, :>

My niece, especially in the picture that my icon is made of, makes me very happy.

I discovered [livejournal.com profile] icanhazstargate today and these (http://slian-martreb.livejournal.com/163226.html?mode=reply) in particular made me laugh A LOT.

I spent the day with my camper* today and will be going to the Met game on Thursday with her, with free tickets.

*I spend summers volunteering in a camp for sick kids. This is the first year I'm being a counselor (one-on-one) and camp starts next week and will last for two weeks. The tickets were provided by the camp's mother organization.

Eee! I love those! For some reason, the "I see what you did there" one kills me, I think because I can hear Sheppard actually saying that.

And have fun at the baseball game :)
