Thank you so so much to everyone who's wished me a happy birthday! I am very fortunate this year in that festivities will run over into tomorrow, when I will blow off most of the day (except for class, grr) and watch SGA3 until I can't see straight and then, as dessert, watch A Dog's Breakfast. So my Birthday, Phase II will be brought to you by John, Rodney, and David Hewlett :>

So I just wanted to say thank you to just_ruth for the lollipop (*licks happily*), loozy for the really cool birthday fonts, smilla02 for the bears (and P. for the sexy kiss), mems_derynicat,lavvyan, rilestar for the noisemaker and the beautiful mrsdtaylor as well, beeej for balloons (*inhales helium*), neevebrody for the chocolate cupcake (and you are always very welcome for porn and picspams!), xenachan for the vanilla cupcake (*devours*) and hilarytamar for the one in advance, le_mot_mo for bears 3 and 4 (and the moment you have time, you and I are so doing something arty together!), pollit, newkidfan,aervir, discord26 for the big sparklies, mabiana, and _elvie for the awesometasty birthday card!

And also, also! Birthday awesomeness continues because people wrote stuff for me and it is all awesome and wonderful, all of it! Today I got three (THREE!) Nantucket ficlets ([index]): dogeared's hot, lovely [Do Not Disturb, set after "Life's Work"], in which Rodney finds home in his anonymous hotel room and John still smells like the island; siriaeve's Let Every Traveller Be Found, in which John finds his way home and Rodney finds his way to John's side; and sheafrotherdon's Birthday, in which Rodney makes extra sure that John has a great birthday and the two of them are beautiful and imperfect and everything

That, and! And! themadedevil's Jumper, part of her Bookstore AU, in which there is a puppy. PUPPY.

*snarfles all of you* I feel as though I should have something, mathom-like, but alas, nothing is finished and nothing is done, so I will give you all a poem by Marina Tsvetaeva, whom I discovered by accident in the university bookstore while looking for something else. It's not really a birthday poem, or happy, but it's lovely and causes thought.

Thank you! It almost involved chocolate at the end, but where we went for dinner makes a really great orange sorbet (they dig all the pulp out for the sorbet, freeze the orange, and put the sorbet back in. It's like a gourmet popsicle).
