I wasn't going to post this until next week, but asdlkjf I really needed to get something out of today, you know?

dogeared got started with "Fall."

CRASH
I crashed.
Imagine losing your genius, waking up and not knowing how stars work, why time is, or whatever.
Anyway, so I was on a mission and BANG, I got hit.
And i fell.
When I woke up I couldn't fly.
(I was sca--pissed.)
After, I used to wake up sometimes and think I can't fly anymore.
(and that... still pisses me off.)
But now I wake up and you're here.
-end-
And then, some art I did for the cover to
cybel's podbook of
astolat's "Tango", which you can find here.

I love your use of textures, the selction of caps and the fact that you have different fonts in the art. Blue is my favourite colour and I like that small patch of blue sky. I also admire and love the way you've made a cut out of the boys. Flanigan's hair is not very cut-out friendly (I've tried changing backgrounds and given up in frustration!).
Thanks for sharing :D

As for the Flan!hair, after eons of struggling with cropping it, I finally realized maybe the completely obvious thing... and that is the smudge tool. What you do is crop out the background stuff, following all the spikes and cowlicks as best you can, and then going back in with the smudge tool and smoothing out the sharp angles from the crop tool. It also helps if the top of his hair's been cut off :D
(The big black and white one is cropped from this (http://i99.photobucket.com/albums/l307/aesc36/picspam/DSC_1543.jpg), and all I needed to do was go in with the smudge tool and give him his spikes back *g*)
