He's so going to "happen by" Rodney's quarters later, and when Rodney shouts "Eureka!" John is going to barrel in because he thought Rodney was in trouble and Rodney is just fine, thank you, and really really naked. And John would hate to have Rodney feel all awkward, so he decides he should get naked too.
