That, and LeRoi Moore of the Dave Matthews Band died yesterday. DMB was so much a part of my college life, the first time I'd ever been on a newsletter (nancies! ndmbc!), or met other fans of anything. I love LeRoi's sunglasses, and how he'd stand there, all cool, and my friend Mike and I had a weird dance we'd do during the "So Much to Say" > "Too Much" bridge.

I'm calling for the immediate resignation of 2008.

Well, from what it sounds like, SGA is still a SciFi franchise; I don't know if that's a SciFi decision or an MGM one, because I don't know how these things work. Either way, SciFi Friday is going to be pretty damn dead, that's for sure.

I have a friend that is a writer for the show and a friend who is on the show, and I had no clue... that makes me so angry because from what I saw (and I admit, I'm not an avid watcher despite my best friend being obsessed with it), it was great!!!

That's what I don't get! It sounds like they're doing better now than they were at the same point in the season last year, so what the hell gives? And if it's getting expensive, cut back on the damn special effects budget. Yeah, they're great, but you can probably have a few less epic space battles.

Yeah, I'd like to think that SciFi will do something good with the money and the timeslot, like fund another season of Charlie Jade, but clearly it will be like pro wrestling or something and OMG WHY WOULD THEY DO THAT??? SGA is clearly the best show on television! Also, probably the only place where the Flan will get a full-time gig. NO MORE FLAN???

Oh my GOD, this is the most depressing night. I found out about LeRoi Moore about an hour before the news of the SGA cancellation hit LJ. I was already so sad about the former and then . . . god. SUCKS. I'm just going to be over here in this corner, sniffling and wishing I could rain fire down on studio executives. Fucking Scifi.

I gotta say, I knew 100 was the magic syndication number and all that shit, but I didn't see this coming - the show was doing well! I think it hurts more when it comes out of nowhere. I can't even believe this. I just want to cry.
