........................

No, oh FUCK no.

NB: I reserve the right to be pissed off and irrational about this. The thing that gets me is they were angsting about ratings last year, and it was such a relief that the show was renewed for a fifth season, and now that the show is doing well--better than it was this time last year--they're pulling it???

Note to SciFi: You suck.

That, and LeRoi Moore of the Dave Matthews Band died yesterday. DMB was so much a part of my college life, the first time I'd ever been on a newsletter (nancies! ndmbc!), or met other fans of anything. I love LeRoi's sunglasses, and how he'd stand there, all cool, and my friend Mike and I had a weird dance we'd do during the "So Much to Say" > "Too Much" bridge.

I'm calling for the immediate resignation of 2008.

*smish* Movies just aren't the same thing. What will we all watch next fall? SG-1? Uh, no. BSG? Nope. SGA? APPARENTLY NOT! After this, I will have no fandom, except for Torchwood.

Guh. This sucks giant fuzzy monkey balls, as one of my stranger friends would say.

Also, this news just confirms the fact that, no matter what happens, I am going to Comic Con next year. No matter what. Who's with me?

Well, no on-air fandom, anyway. I don't even want to speculate about what will happen tomorrow, let alone January, in terms of the fandom, because that's just far too depressing for me to contemplate.

True. Just one more canceled show to add to my collection of DVDs. And I don't either. God, I can't even imagine. It's going to be heartbreaking, when they post those Last Day on Set pictures, like they did for SG-1. I cried a lot that day, I admit it.

Damnit.

That's where I'm getting really upset. I feel like I just found it - I mean, I just had my two-year LJversary last month - and this is my first fandom, and the idea of losing it is what's breaking my heart. I'll miss the show desperately, but, God, the fandom.

*hugs you*

*clings!!!* I come for the show, but a lot of me stays for the fandom and the people, because you guys are some of the coolest people I have ever met, whether in real life or online, and that some executive person is screwing with that (although it's an unintended consequence) just... I don't know whether to get my claws out, or cry.
