.eta: if you look at the bucket of golf balls, you can see that it's labeled PROPERTY OF DAEDALUS, DO NOT REMOVE. On one hand, it's pretty funny that someone (i.e. John) saw it and filched it because it would be awesome for holding golf balls; on the other hand, it's funny because... I mean... super-advanced spaceship and they have silly metal buckets on board so critical to ship operations that they must not be taken.

omewhere on that ship there are similarly labeled towels; John's probably ripped off a couple of them, too, because he's a cleptomaniac.

*cackles* And the soap! I bet whenever he's on the Daedalus for any length of time, he grabs the soap, towels, ashtrays, the little bottles of lotion, the buckets...

*cackles with you* Yes! He takes them all... IN THE BUCKETS!!! Then he gets back and is left with a glorious wealth of toiletries and nicknacks - which he does something nefarious and really disturbingly funny with - and a huge honkin' stack of buckets. What's a guy to do?

Why, take up golf, of course! I bet those are Caldwell's clubs, too. He's been looking for them for months, you know. (He's had his eye on Hermiod, the shifty little bastard, but he's never been able to stare him down and he can't get a straight answer out of Novak past the hickups.)
