plate = full
Oct. 8th, 2008 07:34 pmDear life: GO AWAY.
The only good thing about this week (so far) is that my idiosyncratic laptop is only partially broken. For some reason, the wireless network at home causes it to freeze up and then refuse to unfreeze, but it's perfectly happy with the wireless network at school. I don't understand this, although maybe it's getting crotchety in its old age.
"I wanted stewed plums, dammit, not mashed bananas!"
My desktop, which rejected the novel setup of my modem (it only likes to connect with the USB cable, not the Ethernet cable, don't ask me why) now has a shiny new USB 2 wireless adapter. This fills me with great pleasure.
Which is good, because not much else this week is. People still haven't gotten back to me about REALLY REALLY REALLY important things, and I'm starting to stress out, fellowship applications are due soon, conference thingies are due soon, and I think I'm losing my mind.
.eta: PENGUINS!
