Email: aesc36 @gmail.com
Pairing: D/M
Rating/Warnings: PG13/R? Mention of sensitive material. Very strongly implied underaged sex here.
Disclaimer: Not mine, damn it.
Advertisements: Part of the ALTC/Distance series, taking place about one year after "Biscayne." Previous parts are: Sons; ALTC; Every Distance; Sons & Lovers; Blue River; Biscayne. For [livejournal.com profile] wordclaim50 09 (find; Character Study) and [livejournal.com profile] philosophy_20 20 (Reflection).
Previous chapter: 01; 02; 03.

Notes: I feel unaccountably sad about finishing this up, considering it's only four chapters long. *depressed*

Notes: After a lot of uncertainty, I'm dipping back into the ALTC-verse, as it is a happy place and I like it. [livejournal.com profile] bornofchaos had a request for another fic (in progress at the moment) involving Danny's heritage, and her request, along with a drabble written for [livejournal.com profile] smeggin_amyk got me to get this off the back burner.

"La Familia" is mostly Danny-centric, with some speculations on his family history, though some of Martin's comes up incidentally.

Somewhere in the middle of all this, Rafi reappeared. )

In other news: More "Hours" after the weekend.

Title: Biscayne
By: HF
Email: aesc36 @gmail.com
Pairing: Danny/Martin
Rating/Warnings: PG/PG13ish. No warnings as such.
Disclaimer: Without a Trace belongs to Jerry Bruckheimer, CBS, and very likely many other people.
Advertisements: Yet another addition to the weird nameless AU that continues to defy my attempts to make it stop growing. In order to achieve full enlightenment and spiritual transcendence, you must read the following in this order: Sons, A Long Time Coming, Every Distance, Blue River, and (last but not least) Sons and Lovers.

Notes: A long-meditated companion to the second chapter of "Blue River." The impulse for this fic came from [livejournal.com profile] maygra, who wanted to see a bit more resolution for Danny at the end of the series. At first I wasn't sure, but upon further reflection, I realized that she's right. "Blue River" was written mostly to resolve Martin's lingering issues from "Every Distance," but there are still a few things from that and "A Long Time Coming" that have to come together for Danny. So, everyone thank/blame Maygra, as you deem appropriate :)

I'm not going anywhere )

In other news: new icons! Some EM, D/M, Martin, Danny, Anne Taintor, and one Rodney McKay because he's cool. I am very happy because they're the first products of experimentation with layers and exclusion and other such things that I'm just now learning about.

This was unexpected.

Title: Sons and Lovers
By: HF
Pairing: D/M (from Petra's POV this time)
Rating/Warnings: PG/PG13?
Disclaimers: Without a Trace belongs to CBS, Jerry Bruckheimer, and Hank Steinberg. And there was much wailing and gnashing of teeth.
Advertisements: Alas, you must do some reading before this fic will make much sense: Sons (which I'm belatedly incorporating into this weird little nameless AU), A Long Time Coming, Every Distance, and at least the first chapter of Blue River. Apologies for that. But, if you read all the way through the above fics, I solemnly guarantee that you will come out a stronger and better person for having done it and you will look five years younger.
Previous chapter: 01

Notes: I was fully prepared to leave "Sons and Lovers" where it was, but then I realized that I absolutely had to write something from Petra's perspective. This came to me during an unexpected drive down I-80 the other day, and the one good thing about I-80 is that most of the time it's boring enough to let me plot fic. And tonight being a night off between evenings filled with end-of-semester torment, I typed it up.

Martin’s mouth opened, whether in reply or protest Petra didn’t know and never would )

Okay, if anyone sees me around before next Thursday, slap me and send me back to work, yeah?

Notes: This fic literally smote me while I was driving back from a wonderful afternoon of tea and gingerbread with [livejournal.com profile] faramir_boromir, and I thought about it in great detail while I should have been paying attention to the road.

Title stolen from the great D.H. Lawrence, who I'm sure would be dismayed to see it being put to such use.

Door firmly shut, and Victor knew that if he tried it, he’d find it locked. )

Title: Blue River
By: HF
Email: aesc36 @gmail.com
Pairing: Danny/Martin
Rating/Warnings: R. Vaguely pornish, but not really. (And look! No angst! Well, maybe a little.)
Disclaimer: Without a Trace belongs to Jerry Bruckheimer, CBS, and very likely many other people.
Advertisements: The last in a series of fics set in some nameless future universe. Sadly, though it is short, it won't make much sense unless you read the first two (longer) pieces, A Long Time Coming and Every Distance.
Previous Parts: 01

Notes: Second and last part in what was supposed to be a one-chapter affair. Come to think of it, it's the twenty-second and last part of what was supposed to be a five-chapter affair. And that's just... wow. Don't know how that happened.

Advertisements: Post-ep. for 4.01, "Showdown." The ending that got pre-empted by that Sam foolishness.

Notes: One of the things that I really wanted to see, but of course didn't get to, was Victor going to the hospital. And of course Danny is at the hospital when Victor's there, and of course they meet and have a little Talk of sorts.

This is from Victor's POV, which is a new thing for me.

From Petra’s words, he’d been expecting Samantha Spade, but instead saw a dark head bent close over Martin’s body, resting on folded arms.  )

PS to [livejournal.com profile] mardia_: Even though I have not yet seen your Victor drabble, I posted this because I did see some fic up by you, and I suppose that counts. But don't think I'm not going to hold you to Victor!fic *ominous look*

Notes: I wasn't planning on having this chapter done so soon, but I had some free time (!) and Martin would not be put off. Now that I'm pretty much a chapter ahead, I thought I'd try to see if I could get this finished before the S4 premiere. That would be nice, if I could manage it... Sort of a consolation for not being able to get my AU off the ground. *crosses fingers*

In other news: Hockey is back! *weeps for joy* Also, for those who have not been in this world, HP6 is out this weekend, and while I won't be doing the midnight thing, I'll be sure to pick up my copy in good order. I really hope there'll be some nice political intrigue-type stuff, so I can exercise my Fudge-hate a little bit more. (God, I do hate that slimy, round little man.)
